Pier Professional Limited (Pier) is a leading publisher of specialist journals providing practice-based, peer-reviewed research, policy and best practice information to professionals in healthcare, social care and allied sectors. The list of 23 proprietary journals includes The Journal of Adult Protection and The Tizard Learning Disability Review, market leaders in their specialisms. The main focus of Pier's journals is UK research and practice in its specialist markets, though several titles have international editorial boards and review international experience and research in their disciplines.

Pier's shareholders were Chris Parker (who founded Pavilion Publishing), Julie Gibson and Loretta Harrison. Acting as exclusive strategic and financial advisor to the shareholders, Bertoli Mitchell initiated the transaction, developed all marketing collateral, coordinated information flows and led negotiations to completion.
