Earthscan sold to Informa

Earthscan Limited is the world's leading publisher on sustainable development and environmental technology. Over 20 years it has built a unique reputation for authoritative publishing at all levels - professional, academic and general - commissioning both on its own account and in partnership with numerous national and international institutions. Earthscan titles have won many international awards and the publisher itself won the IPA's 'Independent Publisher of the Year' award for 2010.

Acting as strategic and financial advisor to Earthscan's shareholders, Bertoli Mitchell led negotiations to completion. The sale to Taylor & Francis completed on 31 January.

Post acquisition Jonathan Sinclair-Wilson (Managing Director) and Edward Milford (Chairman) will continue in post for a transitional period.
