Piccadilly Press sold to Bonnier Publishing
(January 2013)
Piccadilly Press Limited, the children’s publisher founded by Brenda Gardner 29 years ago, is to join Templar Publishing, the Bonnier Publishing Limited owned, award-winning children’s book publisher. The transaction was brokered by Bertoli Mitchell, acting on behalf of the shareholders of Piccadilly Press.
Piccadilly Press has established a strong position in the teenage fiction market, discovering and nurturing a number of bestselling authors. Piccadilly is also noted for a commercially successful picture book list as well as fun, action packed books for young readers. How to Listen so Kids will Talk ... is part of its highly successful parenting list.
Piccadilly Press will continue to publish under its own imprint and Brenda Gardner will remain the Publisher. It will, however, use the creative, sales and administrative resources of Templar Publishing and the wider Bonnier Publishing Group.
