Hart Publishing sold to Bloomsbury Publishing

Bertoli Mitchell LLP is pleased to announce that it advised the shareholders of Oxford-based legal publisher Hart Publishing Limited (“Hart”) in their recent sale to Bloomsbury Plc. The transaction completed in September 2013.

Founded in 1996 by Richard Hart and Jane Parker, Hart has built up world class academic and professional book and journal lists in law, and an outstanding team, which remains in Oxford post acquisition.

The initial consideration of £6.5 million (which is subject to working capital adjustments) was paid in cash on completion, with a further maximum of £0.5 million payable on the achievement of agreed targets for the period ending 31 March 2014.
