Global Risk Regulator sold to the Financial Times

We are pleased to announce that Global Risk Regulator (GRR) was acquired by The Financial Times Limited (FT) on 19 September 2013. Bertoli Mitchell acted for Calliope Partners Limited, owner of GRR.

It reports on developments at all the key global bodies, as well as in the main jurisdictions, particularly the US and the EU. Subscribers are made up of trade bodies, regulators, accountants, lawyers, banks, and consultants. GRR is the trade journal for financial risk regulators and for trade bodies and professionals serving the sector.

Melvyn Westlake, director of Calliope Partners and Joint Editor of Global Risk Regulator said:

"The negotiations between Calliope Partners and the FT were very detailed and time-consuming. Bertoli Mitchell worked tirelessly on our behalf, first in finding a suitable acquirer, and then in executing the transaction. I doubt that this deal could have been successfully brought to fruition without their expertise."

Natalina Bertoli, Managing Partner, Bertoli Mitchell added:

“Bertoli Mitchell is delighted to have worked with Calliope Partners. The successful conclusion of this transaction emphasises our continuing strong track record in high-quality, subscription-based services in the information sector.”
